The goal of any rehabilitation is to helps minimize or slow down the disabling effects of health conditions affecting activities of daily living and functional abilities. Rehabilitation focuses on management of present symptoms, investigation of complications and providing clients assistance to improve their quality of life. An injury can be a highly traumatic event for any person, and the rehabilitation process is complex and must focus on the person as a whole. An injury by itself cannot be isolated from the person. At Massima Health we focus on comprehensive approach to multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
When assessing a client and preparing a care plan, our rehabilitation specialists are reviewing all components of client well being. This includes living arrangements & transportation, occupation & income status, psychosocial history (social history, education, employment & transferable skills, recreation & leisure activities, vocational rehabilitation), medical status (physical & psychological).

Assessment
Collection of data both subjective (ie.client interview) and objective (ie.medical records). The source of the subjective data could be the patients or their caretakers, family members, or treating healthcare professionals.
Defining current impairments & disabilities
Impairment is a loss of a function while a disability is a restriction in activities.
Outcomes and Planning
Planning stage is based on evidence-based practice guidelines. Considering the client's overall condition, along with their impairments, disabilities and other relevant information, goals are set to achieve desired and realistic health outcomes for the short and long term.
Implementation
Implementation focuses on actions that will support the client in achieving these goals. Appropriate healthcare providers are assigned to the client care team. This may include treatment provision, supporting personnel, or referred to medical doctors for further investigation.
Interventions are classified into the following domains: family, behavioral, physiological, psychological, community, safety, and health system interventions.
Evaluation
Consists of documentation in progress reports & adjustments to the care plan based on the available or new information.

Based on in depth review of medical history, in person interview, and the examination, our assessors are able to produce a comprehensive report that focuses on the client and addresses the medico-legal component. The reports produced address diagnosis, prognosis, recommended treatments and recommendations for further investigations if such are reasonable and necessary. Our reports are reviewed for quality assurance by care managers or case managers that process the knowledge and education to review medico-legal reports, and to ensure accuracy. Massima Health focus is always on the needs of the clients, and the reports reflect client individual health circumstances.
